Geckonidae is the cientific name for the gecko's family, those small creatures that live glued to the wall and that lended their name to Gecko's wall decal line.

In 2008, to celebrate our first year, we decided to gather 20 designers, illustrators and artists to develop exclusive drawings and to be a part of Gecko's first procreation: Geckonidae, our guest artists gallery.

 Beto Martins is a graphic designer, graduated in1994 at Univercidade, partner at 6D Estúdio, creating in fields such as video, web and print.

Brian Thomas: as a DJ and a student of the saxophone, Brian's creative outlets continue to bless the world with positivity and passion. Music continues to feed his soul providing imperative creative energy on and off the computer. Amongst other things, Brian is a designer and recent graduate of Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California and currently calls New York City his home.

graphic designer and illustrator, graduated from ESDI in Rio de Janeiro. Partner at 6D Estúdio.

Fabio Mota:
always fascinated by drawing. At 18 started to illustrate professionally and didn't stop until he became art director at DM9/DDB publicity agency. Has in his portfolio illustrations for clients such as Rio Sul Mall, Johnson & Johnson and Wärtsilä.

    





Fabio Lopez:
designer graduated from ESDI in Rio de Janeiro, same school he goes to masters nowadays. For five years worked at the graphic design and creation department at Redley and since 1998 works researching and developing digital typography, some presented and awarded in national and internacional exhibitions. He illustrates, photographs, collects stamps, runs around tRodrigo de Freitas Lagoon and cheers for Flamengo.

Luciana Maia:
costume designer graduated from UFRJ-EBA. College teacher at Veiga de Almeida for 11 years and at 2007 started working as assistant teacher for Charles Watson's summer courses. Since 1995 ha been working as costume designer for theater presentations an movies.

MarceloMent:
31 years, resident of Rio de Janeiro, self taught artist, illustrator and art educator. One of the pioneers in Rio de Janeiro's graffiti scene, acting in many projects as an educator since 1998 and beeing a part of the main manifestations involving graffiti around Brasil since then.

Marcelo Ramos: graduated from Social Communications at PUC-RJ and post-graduated in Design at Portfolio Center, USA. Began his designer career in California, at Asylum followed by Mango Press and AIGA. Back in Brazil, worked at Tátil's creation team. In 2003 went to São Paulo and worked in places such as A10 design, Brand Group IDP Africa publicity and Giovanni Bianco. During this time also worked as a teacher at Miami Ad School and ESPM. Nowadays works as a freelancer for publicity and design studios.

Rafael Dietzsch:
graduated in Industrial Design at Brasília University (2002). Works as a professional since 2001 in fields like editorial and branding design. Was part of the Industrial Design department at UnB from 2004 to 2006, lecturing about tipography, editorial design ans graphic process. Nowadays works as a Família Design Studio member, managing Unb's graphic identity system.

afael Meliga: graphic designer graduated from PUC-RJ, developed works in serigraphy and illustration at Parque Lage. Works at Redley's creation team.





Rodrigo Borges:
graduated from PUC-RJ at 2002, latelly has been working as art director at Dogma Graphics (www.dogmagraphics.com)developing video projects for clients such as Lucky Strike and Coca-Cola. Besides that, works as a freelancer with the nickname Paralelo Zero (www.paralelozero.com), where he concentrates at his own visual language.





Yomar Augusto: designer graduated from Univercidade and post-graduated in Typedesign from Arte de Haia Academia in Holland, where still lives since 2004. Develops art and graphic design projects and teaches and lectures the workshop Experimental Calligraphy since 2002.
